This brief excerpt from the chronicle does not reflect the complete, eventful history of this rest stop. The developments following the sale of the site after 2009 are particularly macabre. Currently, emergency vehicles can only reach the east and west rest stops via the highway. There is also no escape route from the parking lots for users, as there are no emergency doors in the fences.
Only locked maintenance doors!
